When she’s not at work, Kayla loves to hang out with friends, playing card and board games, and taking her fur babies on adventures!
Professional interests: ASD/AuDHD, trauma, grief, faith-based therapy, relational challenges, family dynamics, parents of neurodivergent children, major life transitions
Please note: Kayla has a waitlist at this time.
Kayla sees clients at Hesed’s Wilmington location Monday-Thursday (bi-weekly Monday’s are Telehealth only) and Friday’s at our Leland location.
Jason Myers, MA, LCMHC-QS, NCC
Adolescent & Adult Therapist
Jason received his Bachelor’s of Arts in Social Work from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and his Master’s in Counseling from Webster University.
Jason has spent over two decades leaning into the messy, beautiful, and complex parts of the human experience. Since 2003, his work in mental health has taken him into almost every corner of the field from the intense, round-the-clock care at PRTFs and group homes, to sitting with families in their living rooms for community-based support. He has also worked in domestic violence centers, with the unhoused population, as well as foster care and adoptions.
Whether Jason is working with an individual navigating personal hurdles, a couple trying to find their way back to each other, or supervising the next generation of therapists, his approach remains the same: rooted in Faith, believing in grace, proven evidence-based practices (CBT, reality theory, Gestalt) - all delivered with genuine human connection. “I believe therapy works best when it’s safe, collaborative, and entirely real”. -Jason
About me: Imperfect follower of Jesus. Loyal and annoying husband. Father of two boys, making me thankful for grace. Absolute nerd.
Professional interests: Fathers; husbands; couples; teenagers; depression/self-esteem; identity work; faith-based; and Individuals looking for LCMHC-A Supervision.
Jason has immediate evening openings for self-pay clients (Ambetter, Aetna, Aetna SHP, BCBS, UHC/UMR, TriCare, and ChampVA coming soon). Jason will be available to see clients at both our Wilmington and Leland locations.
